Could Charles Krauthammer be any more of a load?
Jesus, he's got some brass ones on him, for sure.
The title of his latest piece of foolishness is:
Blame U.S. failures on the Iraqis
Um, OK.
So, we invade this country that was not a threat to us. With no plan to "win the peace" as they say.
Rummy disbands Saddam's army. The US hands over all reconstruction to outside contractors and makes life generally miserable for all Iraqis.
Oh, this is my favorite; we install an Iran-friendly puppet in place of Saddam.
Then Kraut-Hammer has the balls to say it's all the Iraqi's fault?
Amazing. Truly.

NYT REPORTING FRIDAY, SOURCES SAY: Federal government set up Web site — Operation Iraqi Freedom Document Portal — to make public a vast archive of Iraqi documents captured during the war; detailed accounts of Iraq's secret nuclear research; a 'basic guide to building an atom bomb'...
Long before Bush....
"Saddam's goal ... is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -- Madeline Albright, 1998
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998
Ouch.... seems the world as a whole pretty much felt the guy was a treat.
Dirty Harry agree's:
"We stopped the fighting [in 1991] on an agreement that Iraq would take steps to assure the world that it would not engage in further aggression and that it would destroy its weapons of mass destruction. It has refused to take those steps. That refusal constitutes a breach of the armistice which renders it void and justifies resumption of the armed conflict."
Senator Harry Reid (Democrat, Nevada)Addressing the US Senate
October 9, 2002
Even Saddam agreed:
"We will chase [Americans] to every corner at all times. No high tower of steel will protect them against the fire of truth."
Saddam Hussein, Baghdad Radio, February 8, 1991
"What is required now is to deal strong blows to U.S. and British interests. These blows should be strong enough to make them feel that their interests are indeed threatened not only by words but also in deeds."
-Saddam, 02/27/1999
No, he was just a sweet little guy chillin' in his palaces. No pornblem there, move along.
OK, Jenn. Let's for a moment assume (incorrectly) that Saddam was a threat to the US.
How then, do you account for this colossal fuck up that was and remains the Iraq invasion and the occupation??
Why did they listen to the NEO-clowns rather than people who had experience?
Why did we disband the Iraqi army?
Why are we not employing Iraqis to work on reconstruction?
Why are their services still worse than before we invaded?
Why did we install a puppet government that was NOT a thorn in the side of Iran like Saddam was?
All right:
How then, do you account for this colossal fuck up that was and remains the Iraq invasion and the occupation?? ***Poor planning. Which, goes against the liberal assertion that this war was being planned for ages. Add to it the fact that the MSM and the nut job leftists, won't let our soldiers and military experts do their jobs, you have, what you have now. An ineffective war. Should have been a fuck load more shock and awe in the begining to start. Sadr City should be a pile of rubble.
Why did they listen to the NEO-clowns rather than people who had experience?****Stupidity?
Why did we disband the Iraqi army?
**The one that was loyal to Saddam? Stupid question.
Why are we not employing Iraqis to work on reconstruction?
***I don't know, this has to be the most retarded decision ever.It would be a shit load cheaper, and employed, well paid Iraqi's would be a lot less apt to blow themselves up in a schoolyard and would take pride in their new country that they are building, and more likely to rise up when a suicide bomber blows it up.
Why are their services still worse than before we invaded?
***Do you watch the news? The insurgents blow shit up left and right. That, and see above answer. Not, that your assertation is true. Some areas that never have power,do, etc. etc. Schools where there weren't any.
Why did we install a puppet government that was NOT a thorn in the side of Iran like Saddam was?
****Just because Iran and Saddam weren't friends, doesn't mean we want another Saddam.
ok, well, at least we can agree on a couple things..
as for the army: that was a bad decision. turned loose how many thousands of guys with guns?
as for not listening to real military commanders: thats just not stupid, it's cost us more than a little..
