the news so far this week

Top of the hit list, Howard Dean bitch slapping Blitzer at CNN.

See the video here.

DEAN: There are no Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff. Not one. Not one single Democrat. Every person named in this scandal is a Republican, every person under investigation is a Republican, every person indicted is a Republican. This is a Republican finance scandal. There is no evidence that Jack Abramoff ever gave any Democrat any money, and we've looked through all those FEC reports to make sure that's true.

Robertson Apologizes for Sharon Remarks

Does anyone even pay attention to this stupid carnival huckster anyway besides dumbass rubes? Who gives a crap? Shut up and go back to trying to swindle money out of people.

Bush Plays Booster-In-Chief in New Orleans

Well good for W. After spending the week speaking in front of handpicked people talking about the war on terriers (it's hard work), he needed to set a spell in the Big Easy.
My favorite Bush line this week: "Dictatorships seem orderly -- when one man makes all the decisions, there is no need for negotiationns or compromise."
Irony anyone?? By the way, that IS the photo of the week at left!

GOP Group Donates Abramoff Money

That's good. Maybe they can get some Tee times for some inner city kids or something..

My favorite OpEd of the week from Ed Naha:

Ed Naha: 'Blinky's blarney blargh on the road'

And you gotta love this opening:

"I like a good yarn as much as the next guy and I'll readily admit that, years ago, on our honeymoon, my wife and I kissed the Blarney Stone. However, I would have had to dry-hump it to match the spiels concocted by our Blinkmeister-in-Chief, George W. Bush."

That ought to keep you busy for a little while.

Mike, Thanks for summing up how totally and completely screwed up our country is. If we didn't have you, we'd have CNN. Ugh.

Hey, someone is reading my ranting this week!
Even though I said I would be less serious..
Ed Naha makes for fun reading, though. :)

"war on terriers (it's hard work)" - LOL!

"Dictatorships seem orderly -- when one man makes all the decisions, there is no need for negotiationns or compromise." - Hey, that's what he said about the war debate!

I was watching the Alito hearings on MSNBC today and when the Senate broke for lunch, MSNBC broke away to "breaking news out of New Orleans where President Bush is speaking to the people...". Okay, that is breaking news. But seriously, it was the most obviously staged set up. He was sitting there waiting for the green light, waiting to ensure the cable feed was ready to go. Makes me sick.

Bush can only operate with staged set ups.
Otherwise, his mind wanders to cutting trees and brush at his ranch or something, who knows..
