Santa and George Baily yes, Jebus no; AFI's top 100 Inspiring movies

Ya gotta love the title of this story on Yahoo today:

AFI Praises Spielberg, Snubs Jesus

The American film institute loved the Christmas-themed movies like It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, but the Mel Gibson blood bath Passion of the Christ and Scorsesi's Last Temptation of Christ didn't make the list in their picks for most Inspiring Films Of All Time

Actually, as you see in the article, Speilberg made off the best with his movies.

Shawshank Redemption was way up there, of course, but not as high (23) as it should have been.

What? Where the hell is Private Parts or Happy Gilmore? This list is rigged!

Is Independence Day on there? Every time Bill Pullman gives that speech before the big attack, I get all warm and fuzzy and want to kill things for my country.

I liked when the aliens killed those dummies on top of that building.

Interesting list. It's easy to disagree with those Top 10 or Top 100 lists, but they made some good choices.

I always enjoy AFI and they did an excellent job once again with the picks that were made.
