Open mouth, insert... fish?

You have to hand it to W, he knows how to supply us with snippets of what floats around in his melon.

This time, as we see in this Reuters story:

Bush told (German) weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.

"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

That's the thing about Bush. He's a simple guy. Catching that perch was a serious high point since he was selected over 5 years ago.
This is a guy who loves to vacation while supposedly working for us.
It's also just another telling look at who really runs the US (Corporations, Cheney, Condi, Big Oil, PNAC, etc..)
I have this sneaking feeling that deep down, the guy really wishes he could turn back the clock, lose the election in 2000 and just be on that "ranch" of his reeling in a big perch and clearing brush.

Great post, Mike! ;)

I like your insinuation about who's really running the country, very snarky.

Snarky but oh, so true.

Mike, I have that same feeling, too. Has anyone kept a tally of how many vacations he's taken this year?

Uh, so yeah, he doesn't work when he's in Crawford. O.K. Sure.

That's a pretty sweet fish.
