South Dakota moves back to the 50's

S.D. House Approves Abortion Ban Bill

Yep, and the religious weirdos are cheering all over.

And let's not forget, according to the story:

The measure would make no exception in cases of rape or incest.

Nice.
Of course, if the Guv of South Dakota has a daughter that got knocked up and she wanted one, believe me, he would ship her right out of state.

Let's also not forget, that South Dakota is one of 4 states in the Union that have laws or regulations that allow pharmacists to NOT fill birth control prescriptions because of their "conscience".
You know, if you are a pharmacist and are not prepared to fill a legally obtained prescription, you should get into another line of work.

This law in SD is the wrong move.

We need to keep abortions legal and safe and provide the education and the PREVENTION that people need.
And imagine this for a second: If a woman is the victim of rape or incest and has to have the child, the "father" could sue for parental rights.

Why don't the twisted fucks that pushed this legislation through just secede from the Union? It would make everyone a lot happier!
By the way, I love your new profile photo, you lucky dog!

I agree with la above.

Cool blog, by the way. I'm a former San Diegan living now (unfortunately) in Dallas. Please don't judge me harshly for it, I hate it but the job is here!!!

Thanks for stopping by.
I have to admit, I have never really heard too many good things about Dallas, and I have no real urge to check it out for myself.

I hear Austin is pretty nice, though..

Somebody was describing this South Dakota law as the Rapists' Bill of Rights. I think that's a better description than whatever fancy title the legislature gave it.
