She would probably like to take this jump back

In case you didn't watch the women's snowboard cross, Lindsey Jacobellis, our girl for the gold was in first and did a little show-boating jump in sight of the finish then crashed, coming in second with a silver medal.

Not the smartest thing in the world, but I feel bad for her, yet proud, too because she still ran a great race and is bringing home a medal.
Sometimes we make a mistake, and this will hurt for a while, but she should still be proud.
At least she took a good attitude when asked:

"I was having fun," Jacobellis said. "Snowboarding is fun. I was ahead. I wanted to share my enthusiasm with the crowd. I messed up. Oh well, it happens."

Sometimes it does, yes. At least she was having fun.
I have a hard time being mad at a 20 year old athlete who loves her sport.

That really sucked! I love what she said about it afterward though. You have a great blog here!
