I should surf the Internets more

So WAY back last July I went to Street Scene here in San Diego.

The first band that I saw was Morningwood who are starting to get some press lately and a lot of fun live.

Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures and put them on my website (see link above) and then emailed them and told them some where of them in case they wanted to use them or whatever.

Well, they did, and even gave me some props, as is were.
Scroll down when you click on that link till you see the link for Street Scene San Diego July 29th 2005. And there is my name. My pictures are first when the click the link, though they used another one right there. You have to click "next" after getting to the first one to see them all and it's not easy to see at the top right of each photo.
I have been published. :)

Cool 8^)

I was going to make a joke about their name, but I see they already did!

yea, they're fun to see live.
if you hear of them coming around, check it out if you are into that kinda music (loud, girl-oriented, post-punk, over-sexed stuff)

Hey, Mike,
Congrats on getting your pix published! Keep at it!
The opening was a huge success -- packed with people from beginning to end, great food, great martinis mixed by Supervisor Daly(!), a visit by S.F. Poet Laureate Jack Hirschman (who was inspired to quote one of his poems, God love him), and so much praise for my work I thought maybe I'd died and gone to heaven!
I wish you could have been there, Mike. You would have had a great time. I know I sure as hell did.
Now, it's nose to the grindstone again;
this time, back to working on the book and looking for a publisher.
By the way, the babe in the photograph looks really familiar. Morningwood -- hah!
Stay in touch.
Mark

Wow, I'm so glad to hear that!
And I wish I could have been there as well.
Next time I'm in the Bay Area, I will let you know and hopefully we could meet up for a drink or so.

I was only kidding about being published, I could never be called any kind of photographer, that's for sure.

People, have a look at the great photos on his blog, they are AMAZING, particularly if you like San Francisco.

Mike - Very cool, congratulations! I've got a couple pix posted on some musicians' websites, and it's a thrill to get a photo credit!

I, too, think Morningwood is a great name!
