And they tell us the damn "libruls" are trying to kill Christmas

You've heard them all, from Bill O. on Fox to all the big hair preachers on TV.
Of course, the irony is that Christmas long, long ago has meant nothing in this country but a chance to go out and charge up a bunch of debt and place a pagan symbol (the tree) in one's livingroom.

So what shows up at the War Room over to Salon.com? Someone sent them a copy of the White House Christmas card. But wait! It's not a Christmas card, inside it says:

"best wishes for a holiday season of hope and happiness."

Wha?!

There is a passage from the Bible inside, but it's not from the New Testament, it's part of Psalm 28.
And as Grieve notes in his post in the War Room:

'The Bushes left out the bit where David talks of the "workers of iniquity" who "speak peace to their neighbors" but have "mischief . . . in their hearts." And they didn't include the part where David asks the Lord to punish such evildoers for the "wickedness of their endeavors" by banishing them to "their desert."'

Instead, they opted for "The Lord is my strength and my shield; In Him my heart trusts; So I am helped, and my heart exults. And with my song I give thanks to him." Very nice of them.

I'm wondering, are they going to have a cow about this on Fox News? This removing of Christmas? How dare they!

Ha ha - I'll be linking over to this one. I love posts exposing white house hypocrisy, especially during the "holidays"!

I really think all the God bobs are just making all this "attack of Christmas" shit up. Every Christian knows that Jesus wasn't really born on December 25th and every American knows that no one thinks twice about Jesus on Christmas. Christmas is about giving, sharing family and consumer consumption. Thats it.

I don't think most people even care about the first two; just the consumption.

Americans are so rediculous when it comes to this crap.

And to think that they are somehow "under attack" is freakin laughable.

Bravo Mike. About the photo, think there's actually a tree under that mountain of crap? Good lord, what a monstrosity. Er, no pun intended.
