It's that time of year again!

Yes, when the weather gets cold, my favorite breweries bring out their seasonal ales for wintertime!

These guys are but a couple of my favorites.
If you have a BevMo around where you live, stop by there in the coming weeks and ask the guys there what their favorites are.

Of the ones that I drink every year, only Anchor really changes it up with the recipe every time, making a dark and delicious brew, but with different flavors.

You'll find that most of these hearty cold-weather ales are stronger in flavor and alcohol, so watch out, they will sneak up on you!

Go ahead and click on the photos to be taken to their respective web pages.

If you're ever around Oregon this time of year, pick up some JubelAle from Deschutes Brewery. It's definitely one of the best seasonals around.

Love, love, love just about everything from Deschutes.
Probably the greatest stout on the west cost is their Obsidian. The Black Butte Porter ain't a slouch, either..

The winter beers are always too hopy. Chimay warms me up just fine.

I'm a hop head, Toad.
Big time.
I love the west coast style ales.
Two of the greatest ales being made on the west coast by fairly large craft breweries are Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Anchor Liberty. Just awesome stuff.
