Schwarzenegger to veto gay marriage bill

What a guy.

Schwarzenegger to veto gay marriage bill

You know why he said that? Because it's the "will of the people."
Wow, that's great.
He would have fit in well with George Wallace in Alabama and the rest of the Jim Crow types in the South when they said that the will of the people was a main reason for discrimination (and worse, of course) of Blacks.

Funny that not ONE case in this country that winds up in court can anyone argue sucessfully as to why gays cannot get married.

Schwarzenegger's press secretary, Margita Thompson sez: "We cannot have a system where the people vote and the legislature derails that vote," Thompson said.

Yes we can. If people in the state of CA were in favor of bringing back slavery, would that apply to her logic as well?

I've heard both Kinky Friedman and Howard Stern say the same thing about gay marriage:
"Why shouldn't they be allowed to be as miserable as everyone else?"

But all joking aside, how does two gay people getting married affect you?
What do you care?
