How interesting that the US Gov. wants to sell 20 billion dollars in war machinery to the Saudi Arabia.
What a great idea. Never heard a better one.
Let's see if we can put it all together and complete the circle here.
Sept 11, 2001 crazies fly planes into buildings in the US. Most of them are Saudis. As was the source of their funding.
We chase after that bearded guy (where's Osama?) then put the breaks on.
Time to go into Iraq.
Topple the secular dictator there, civil war starts between Sunnis and Shiites, Al Queda moves in to join the fun.
So far, close to 4000 US dead, tens of thousands of our young men and women wounded, hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis dead, millions on the run or refuges elsewhere.
Destroyed infrastructure over most of the land.
Amidst all this, US props up Shiite government in Iraq.
Now we're fighting Sunni insugents, al queda crazies and dealing with Shiite militias.
Bush-friendly contractors get billions from our treasury to do nothing.
US and British oil companies and weapons manufacturers are making billions in profits since the start of the war.
The only little arc in the circle that is not quite complete, but is almost there, is the forcing (at gun point, really) of the Iraqis to hand over control of most of the oil under their sand.
112 BILLION proven barrels of crude oil pure enough to pump out of the ground and put in the crankcase of your car.
Summer of 2007, Bush wants to sell the Saudis 20 Billion dollars worth of death-making equipment (Of course, since the Israeli's aren't too happy about that, we'll just hand over billions more to them in the coming decades).
They'll wind up funneling some of it to extremists we're now fighting.
Our soldiers who are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here get shot at thanks to our arms dealing.
