In memory of our friend

Sierra passed quietly the evening of June 22 2007 after a tough fight.
She will be missed and she was loved and had a good life.
But she's chasing kitties and squirrels now all she wants.

Domestic dogs were not put here by God, or evolution or intelligent design.
They are the creation of man. And as such, they are our charges.
Man domesticated dogs so that they might become our companions and our workers.
To sleep at our feet, guard our homes, fetch game and lead our way with their incredible noses.
May they all find love.

“I have sometimes thought of the final cause of dogs having such short lives and I am quite satisfied it is in compassion to the human race; for if we suffer so much in loving a dog after an acquaintance of ten or twelve years, what would it be if they were to live double that time?”

Sir Walter Scott

She was a good girl and is missed by all, including her doggie sisters here in the house..

Oh, I'm so very very sorry to hear about Sierra's passing. There's nothing sadder than saying goodbye to a furry friend. It breaks my heart. My thoughts are with you and your wife and the other doggies. ((( hugs )))
