Bring them home and end this madness

I'm sure most of you have seen the wire stories about the young soldiers that were captured and how they have in fact been found.
If not, I will not fill you in with the details, you can get the info from any internet source.
Their names, however are Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore.

All of the death in Iraq, the road to which was paved by the Neo-cons and the Bush Administration, was for a lie and for control of the oil in that region (keeping it in the ground) and permanent bases for our military.
If we were not there for this folly in the first place, those animals would not have been able to get hold of our young men. Hell, they wouldn't have even BEEN in Iraq.
Every time I think about the squandering of our people and our money and the goodwill of the world in a time when we could have actually used our collective resources to actually find and stop these kinds of people, it makes me crazy.
All this war in Iraq for the all mighty fucking dollar.

I can only hope that these young men will create even more public outcry for the withdrawl of our troops from this war.

Let's stop this. Please.

Isn't Bush due to throw another "Mission Accomplished" party?

The news was expected but made me want to cry. The level of senselessness that is both the George W. Bush war and terrorist insurgency is almost incomprehensible. Yet, for all the bad that continues to pile up the blind continue to follow the blind. In less than 6 months, the dark force has raised $173.7 million for the Republican Party. What bothers me more than the fact they are likely to buy themselves continued control is the fact there are sick people continuing to pay.

Amen.

Oh wait, besides the oil, you forgot about the big business of rebuilding Iraq with no-bid contracts going to Cheney and friends.

That's what this administration is spending our lives and resources on.

the insugency is the creation of Bush invading, and Al Queda coming in to do their thing because we are there.
as is the civil war that our young people are now stuck in, thanks to this folly.

This really sucks. And it's the kind of thing that's gonna get more and more common as long as we're quagmired over there. Unfortunately, rightwing bloggers (I won't mention any names, ahem, "Jenn") are capitalizing on this incident so they can hate the Left even more than they already do. After all, if we didn't keep sabotaging our troops by criticizing Bush, this tragedy wouldn't have happened.

RAmen! Oh, and I agree with you tom (about some certain rightwing bloggers). This insanity needs to come to a stop.

My fear is this may not end at all anytime soon given the numbers places like Hailburton is bringing in.
