Enough about Cheney shooting that guy in the face!

The White House press corps are all up in arms and grilling Spanky McClellan about the fact that it took so long to get the news out about one rich white dude shooting another.

Please, people, do your damn jobs. Who cares about this thing, can you keep grilling the White House about Abramoff, the Iraq war, the Medicare bill and the spying on Americans?

You're going to sit there and worry about some lawyer mistaken for a fucking quail?

Cheney is one of the main architects in this country behind the neo-con ruin of the Bill Of Rights.
Please get off this story. It's over.

Absolutely right. The real story should be that they were on a "canned hunt" where they are driven out to a field and a bunch of captive birds are released in front of them so they can shoot at them. Hunting, my ass.

Damn it, why couldn't he have been Quayle hunting?

yea, canned hunts are quite cowardly.
I have no problem hunting game birds like quail, but in reality it should be for eating. and quail are quite tasty.

the only thing quayle has ever hunted for is a potatoe..

It was funny, but now it's time to turn the page - the Plame story involving Iran's nuclear program is HUGE - and what the press should be paying attention to.

I thought the same thing about Quayle, though, LOL

I didn't know about the canned hunt thing, that's pathetic. Cheney also didn't bother to get his hunting license. What a complete and utter jackass.

I heard this guy just had a heart attack. It all sounds staged; Cheney is trying to get some new organs.

Good point. This whole charade could be just a big distraction gimmick. Things are closing in on Bush -- Katrinagate, more Iraq scandals, Abramoff, wiretapping -- and they need somebody to yell out "hey everybody, look over there!"

well, I don't even think it was anything like that, I just think they need to get a little fired up about something that matters.

While I agree with the fact that we shouldn't lose sight of Iraq, Abramoff, wiretapping, etc., I can't help but wonder in light of today's news of Cheney's victim having suffered a heart attack as a consequence of his injuries, what will happen if the man dies? Will Cheney be brought up on manslaughter charges? If not, will repubs finally STF already about Ted Kennedy? Just fodder for the brain.

Short answer, of course they won't shut up about Kennedy.

Hell, Cheney should get an award. All of this time and he finaly did something worthwile...SHOOT A LAWYER. If only the victim had been younger...

They love to talk about Kennedy just like they will never stop about Clinton's penis.
Personally, I just want to hear about that which affects me and the nation NOW.

There are so many more important issues going on, and yet this story just seems to drag out further and further. It's like a conspiracy by both sides together to make sure nothing gets accomplished.
