That's just not funny, sez the Catholics:

"South Park" Parked by Complaints

Following the Dec. 7 season finale of South Park, titled "Bloody Mary," the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights slammed the network for its irreverent portrayal of church icons and sought to block the episode from being rebroadcast.

Damn, I'm glad that I caught the episode in time.

It appears the group may have met with success. A repeat of the finale was scheduled to air Wednesday night, but was seemingly pulled from the Comedy Central lineup without explanation.

In the episode, a statue of the Virgin Mary is believed to be bleeding from its rear end, inspiring faithful parishioners to flock from miles around to be healed by the miraculous blood.

Eventually, Pope Benedict XVI is called in to investigate, whereupon he determines that the statue is actually menstruating and thus is nothing special.
"A chick bleeding out her vagina is no miracle," the pope declares in the episode. "Chicks bleed out their vaginas all the time."

Just a thought, but when someone doesn't want to be offended by stuff on TV (TV that you have to pay for, mind you) then South Park wouldn't be the place that I would surf over to if I were you..
I have to admit, this was not their most tasteful show in its history, but they are known for their dirty satire, and dirty satire is what you are going to get quite often.

Not that there's anything WRONG with that...

That figures. These rightwing religious wackos need to broaden their interests, develop hobbies, etc. If nothing else they could at least learn how to use the remote.

I have some ideas for hobbies, though they might not like my choices.

To be offended would be like turning on the 700 club and getting upset because he says God will punish gay people with AIDS, that we should assasinate foreign leader and that a city near you will be consumed by hell fire because they are teaching evolution. I know that stuff is on his show and when I am in the mood for fear mongering hate speech I tune in...Otherwise, to each his own.
