US defends foreign detentions

As we talked about below, the government is now trying to spin this.

Would you like to read the scariest thing:

"There is no question that under the law of armed conflict, the United States has the authority to detain persons who have engaged in unlawful belligerence until the cessation of hostilities," said the October 21 report, which was recently published on the State Department's Web site (http://www.state.gov)

OK, you understand what this means, right?
First of all, there will be no end in the "war on terror" so long as the neo-cons are in charge.
Second, ANYONE can be considered an enemy by the federal government and locked away without charges, indefinitely.
