well, there are a couple ways you can get to this spot. if you park at the usual spot north of the bridge, you can walk to the west side of the lot and take stairs that lead down and under the bridge and eventually over to the OTHER lot that can only be reached by jumping off the freeway when coming south. if you are coming south towards the bridge and you blink, you miss the turn off. but you can also park there and walk towards the path that goes under. the walkway takes you right through the bridge. very cool. I never even knew about it when I lived in the bay area. We just pulled over during this trip coming back south from being in Sonoma.
"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony"
"As we peer into society's future, we -- you and I, and our government -- must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering, for our own ease and convenience, the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow."
