My first try at setting tile

Whatta you think?
It's in the in-progress kitchen.

I screwed in a 1/4 inch substrate first, leaving a small gap at the bottom for caulk.
Then we set the tiles, leaving also a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom and also caulked that.

We're using 1x1 foot sheets, and as we go, my wife is cutting out random red tile and we are placing in mustard yellow.

I think we're doing not too bad for a first try at this..

thanks!
my feet are sore from standing all night getting this done.
it doesn't show, but I added that bottom picture as an edit at like midnight..

I suspect you're probably sitting feet up watching sports today, so I'm not inclined to take pity on you. ;)

Btw, I have the same hardware in my kitchen (the brushed silver knobs). Very sharp.

you would be wrong!
more work for the wicked today, too!
woke up at 830, went to the store for breakfast for us.
went to Home Depot and got the grout and two more knobs that were needed.
went to Target for blinds.
installed blinds.
no rest for the do it yourself'ers
