Schwarzenegger signs ban on sodas in high schools

It's been a disgusting shame the way that we feed our kids in public schools.
There should be NO soda and no junk food at all.
They need to work on getting all of that crap out of there that is stuff full of sugars and trans-fats.
It's bad enough that a good number of them have shitty parents that don't do a damn thing except fill the fridge and pantry with crap and order out fast food or pizza every night for dinner.
At least we can try and teach children some good eating habits when they are at school to counteract the lousy job their parents are doing.

There was a great story in our local rag the San Diego Union Tribune about a school district up in North County that has been taking nutrition seriously.

Some kids might not be that keen on all this at first, but that's just because they were raised by idiot parents.
It will still do well overall.

Kids and soda. Who thought it was a good idea to offer it in the first place?

I drink soda so infrequently it makes me hiccup when I do. But I do enjoy a nice cold Pepsi with my pizza; that is when I can't have a cold beer.

Aren't I just the staple of good nutrition? ;)

usually, I have a fresca. no sugar.
they offered it in the first place because the soda companies and others like them waved a shitload of money in their face.
pretty sad when schools have to rely on Coca Cola in order to get what they need...
